One day in the forest with my cousin we gathered some natural materials from fallen trees. One such material was bark from a birch tree, which lied fallen on the ground next to the off-road. We wanted to save this good eco bark material from just rotting together with its tree. Since then we reclaim birch bark from dead birches from different forests.
The softy tough bark is an amazing material and feels on touch as cork and is very flexible.
That's why I now have in store lots of birch bark from which I will hand-make this journal for you.

I make this handmade birch bark journal from white crafting paper, thick crafting cardstock, slightly waxed Molyneux thread, and ecofriendly glue.
Firstly I make the covers from thick cardstock and glue strongly the birch bark on the cardstock and punch holes for the thread. After that I prepare the paper for the pages- I cut them, then fold them and finally I punch the holes in the pages. Then I sew the components with the Coptic stitched way of binding books. I waxed slightly the Molyneux thread because this gives it longer life and better performance of the journal.

The shipping packaging is made with the extra protection of bubble postal envelopes, reclaimed soft materials, and card boxes. We reclaim packaging materials from technology products unboxed from different local shops.

We will donate a sum from your purchase to plant one tree with the Bulgarian Foundation 77. We will leave a monthly report for the donated money of a given Month in our blog section on the website.
