If you are new to my ExiArts & EcoCrafts website that I opened on 29th of August 2021 let me tel you that I craft personalised blank journals and sketchbooks where you can personalise the following features:
1. Sizes- choose many sizes for each blank book.
2. Colours- bookbinding cords- 25 different colours, the colours for the inside covers, and in some cases I can personalise for you some other parts of a given book..
3. Number of pages- for all blank books: from 50 to 1000! If you need a blank journal with more than 1000 pages please Contact me.
4. Bookmark variations- satin ribbon, twine cord with a metal key on the end.
5. Custom wording on your crafts- names, dates, wishes, quotes, and others.
Well, I write this blog article to share with you all what new blank book designs I have listed on the ExiArts website.
This is the second black journal design I have ever created. I have noticed before that many of you ask me for black journal design and I always showed you my only one black journal so I decided to finally craft some new blank books in black linen fabric covers.
As most of my journal designs this one also has a bookmark that is made from twine cord and I have put a vintage-style skeleton key on the end of it. The book has 100% recycled pages. The number of the pages can be personalised- in the product listing you can see the different options to choose from before you finish your order.
This is actually, the third black linen fabric blank book I have crafted o far. With this one I have 3 black designs but I promise I will make more in the coming weeks. Read further below this article to know what I will prepare for September.
This one is a sketchbook with black linen fabric and again a twine cord bookmark. The difference between this one and the journal above is that this sketchbook is a refillable one. It has a lash-down ribbon binding that you can personalise in different colour. You can untie the ribbon and you will be able to remove the sheets block that I have bound separately with a thread to be compact. So when you remove the ribbon all the sheets will be together without coming apart. All the personalisations from the beginning of this article can be done to this sketchbook design too.

This sketchbook is crafted with grey linen fabric that is glued with eco-friendly adhesive to an art watercolour card stock which is hand coloured with home made coffee. The coffee stains have amazing effects and are unique for each single card stock.
I have similar design from before but this one here is with coffee stained page sheets too, the one before is with regular- non-coloured page sheet book block.
The cover of this sketchbook is soft as the fabric and the soft card stock allow it to fold in a way that the cover can be hardly teared or damaged.
The binding of this blank book is special- I used Hemp cord for this design. The Hemp cords I have supplied from an Etsy shop from the United States. I have these cords in 25 different colors.
As always the design is finished with a bookmark.
It is interesting that in this sketchbook you can still personalise the inside cover colour- you can tell me if you would like it to be with any of the basic colours.

Many of you have asked me before to craft more blank books with pockets on the inside covers or somewhere between the pages. So here is what I am thinking to be my main plan for the crafting of the new designs for September 2021:
1. I will make more soft covered books so that I can offer to you cheaper variations of journals and sketchbooks. Why cheaper? Because soft covered books take less materials and less time to craft!
2. I will make also hard covered books but this time with pockets on the inside covers and or in between pages. I will figure the designs out at the process of crafting in the coming weeks.
3. I will present to you my second herbalized plant design for a journal and for a sketchbook. Before I continue let me show you my first design here:

The next designs I am about to craft will be with herbalized Fern leaves. I have been thinking to try these before but never had the time or the proper inspiration to do it! Now I have already prepared 4 herbalised leaves of Fern plant that I have left for 1 week to dry out in between the pages of an old book.
I cant wait to craft with those leaves!
4. And not at the last place- I will craft many new designs with prints from my own art collection. Some of the designs will be soft covered others will be hard covered and many of them will have the pockets from point 2. above!
